Wow - very moving. I bet it took a long time for you to put that together. I'm not even a Yankee fan even though I was born in NY, but I am a baseball fan and I appreciate what he means to the game. I don't even know too much about Gehrig but he seems like he was a good guy. A great speech, but was it the entire speech?

thats not the reason... it was becasue gehrig woke up and saw that ruth had brought gehrig's wife to her room. And lou gehrig being the shy and jealous type automatically thoguht the worst. Read the book "Luckiest Book". It was a great book.

Lou Gehrig was a man that played through emotion
even now when I look back at all the players of the MLB, no one, no one could and can match his playing style. He was a man of honesty and patience, and for that the MLB is in debt to him
even as he has passed.
Just think of how baseball would've stayed the same from the players of the 30's to 70's we would still get chills in the ball park. We are in debt of those who passed, but we always will never forget them.
