Michael Jordan 1993 Playoffs: Gm 4 Vs. NY Knicks, 54pts.
Uploaded by: hoopsencyclopedia
Video Description:
This was a scary performance by MJ. With an injured shooting wrist, MJ was coming off one of his worst shooting games ever in game 3 - going just 3-18 for 22 (but with a near triple double with 8 rebs and 11 asts). With the media on him, MJ produced 54pts but the scary part was how he was able to shoot 60% on call. Of course, we saw this happen over and over hundreds of times throughout his whole career but it still never ceased to amaze. This was what MJ was all about - playing in a zone. But the scary part was how he was able to turn it on at will and do it all the time. This performance was just another notch in his legendary masterpieces and it was a badly needed one as the Bulls were threatened on their march to their first 3-peat by the powerful Knicks.
With the bruiser NY team winning the first two games, MJ made sure game 4 was theirs by shooting deep jumpers over Starks. Going 6-9 in treys and 18-30 overall, he had a 'quiet' 54. Of course, it's always more fun seeing the dunks and drives but on fundamentals alone, MJ was still his spectacular self and of course, his efficiency guaranteed the only thing that really mattered: victory. As usual, on national TV, when everyone was watching how he might rebound off a bad game, with a knob on his injured wrist, MJ played - just like MJ.

You are right though that Jordan is the best of a ll time.
And not only that, but the Bulls LOST the first TWO GAMES of the conference finals against the Knicks!
I don't think so!
And none of the teams the Bulls faced during the Finals were 'weak' or 'watered down' either. Apart from the 90-91 LA Lakers (who were 58-24 and finished ranked 3rd in the West)ALL of them were the #1 teams in the Western Conference during those seasons AND had 60+ wins as well!
Kobe has these moves but to a MUCH lesser extent. Youngton22 is right, there really isn't even a debate. Kobe's career average is about 25 ppg and he's 30. MJ's career average at 30 was 33 ppg. End of fucking story, MJ GOAT and IT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE!
The last two NBA Finals Kobe has been in, he hasn't even been CLOSE to being the best player on the court. :)
He works his ass off through 4 colleges in 4 years, working in a supermarket, the CBA, pays his dues to finally be a starter and get deep in the playoffs.
He's rewarded by having the assignment of guarding Michael Jordan.
