Him and his agent are going to be stunned when they see there is no 35 million a year offer. Even a team like the Angels, who really want him, knows that tying that much money up in one player weakens you in what you can do in other possible deals. I've actually heard talk about about owner collusion to not sign A-Rod. That's so ridiculous. Can it simply be that what he's asking for is simply undoable. And if he does not get that money, what is he going to do, sit out the year?

ugh i cannot believe he gets paid so much. yes, its obvious that he helps them get INTO the playoffs, but after that, its like hes not even part of the team. THATS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR CAREER! if you cant help in the playoffs, its almost a waste. however, i realize he is an amazing athlete and its obviously up to the yankees to pay him that much.
