As John said about Sid, he was the greatest Pistols fan ever but once he joined the band he just couldnt handle it. Jones apparently regrets letting Matlock go under those circumstanses and also refrets not listening to Lydon regarding McClaren as does Paul Cook. They should have brought in Sid in some other capacity, keeping Matlock and also got rid of McClaren they would have gone on to be a success in the states and done another couple of albums.
